I love how directors in so many movies point out the fact through some of their (educated) characters that many Americans still believe there’s no civilization in the countries of former Yugoslavia. Something similar that I remember at this moment did Karl Lagerfeld in his short film about Chanel, where a blonde socialite introduces a man named Milos from “Yugoslavia” (it’s a year 2011).

man all this debate is killing how much i love this clip, mainly Mark’s look when he looks up as if “I’m glad I’m making a difference”.
I really don’t care about what this movie is saying about Bosnia its just that for a moment Mark shows that he isn’t doing something out of revenge or jealousy or for money.

@TheAnalyzers Exactly yugoslavia was not governed by russia bcuz Tito wouldn’t allow it .. and good for him those russian seems to screw us over always lol … and serbs were the second largest population killed per capta in WWII. @xxxrenixxx Actually, if I may correct you, the former Yugoslavia was one of the most divided countries in the XXIst century’s history, considering that it was not directly governed by Russia, but by an intermediary dictator. The origin of the divide was ethnic and religious. There was a huge fight between Muslims and Catholics, and between Serbian, Bosnian, and Croatian ethnic clans. And black people and Jews who won’t get over it? You try having both your population exterminated…

And yes, I do beleive that Wikipedia contains the Important bits in Bosnian history, because people don’t give a damn about that day your grandfather ran over a pigeon. Even though it’s history, it does not mean it’s of any interest to anybody. A Hollywood version of Bosnia’s history? Jesus, that would be amazing, for the 5 people that live there, and who have access to cinemas…

Unbeleivable… Try typing in Bosnia in the Google search engine, and, unbelievably, you get around 5 pages of Bosnian history! (Profoundly boring stuff… but whatever). Hopefully that was worthy of my simple mind…
