The Bengali Film Is Directed by Sukumar Dasgupta. Kalipada Sen Scored the Music in the Film. SYNOPSIS: This is a brilliant urban fantasy, which is lighthearted yet profoundly philosophical. In the guise of an entertaining comedy, the film actually succeeds in putting forward an underlying social message. Sadananda is a vagabond kind of a character, who is extremely talented. In spite of being a much sought after artist he simply defies the social norms. Earthly stuff like money and fame fail to attract him, rather he goes on searching for simple joys of life in a happy go lucky manner. In the very first scene, we see that Sadananda loses his home, but we find him to be more concerned about Mini, the pussycat. Soon he meets a little girl Runu and her family. In search of a suitable residence, Sadananda starts to live in an unoccupied mansion of famous industrialist Dakshinaranjan Chowdhury. Runu her brother Ajit and her mother join him. Chowdhury’s daughter Sheela, a strong and independent modern daygirl comes to live in the mansion. At first she becomes very angry with the intruders, but slowly she realizes the actual intention of Sadananda and becomes very fond of him. Sheela is an aspiring singer.
