Just a little parody something I threw together after the hilarious events at ebay live (or should I say ebay DEAD! ?) this year where Griff declared ebay would be dead in 2 years. This video mentions nothing about other big issues like the dsr ratings, the lack of level playing field, which Pierre Omidyar spoke of so much, in the form of no mutual feedback, unfair and unreasonable suspensions, the big push for Paypal monopoly and the entire fiasco with Australia and the aaac, padded listings feedback extortion, the recent Frerk Malte Feller affair, censorship etc. Thisvideo is parody based, thus any sarcastic subjective profundities are purely intentional. The contents of this video fall under fair rights use. The creator of this video has no commercial or financial motivations. Further, materials used herein are integral to the parody element of the video, as I expose the hypocrisy displayed by “Uncle_Griff”, Simon Smith, Meg Whitman and others to ebay/ Paypal users and ‘community’ worldwide, at large, in parody. There is and has an obvious claim to the transformative value. This is an expressive work, it provides social benefit, by shedding light on an earlier work(s), and, in the process, creates a totally new one. ;^D

There is no level playing field, they do not even adhere to their very own rules. And the platform changes at a rate no one can keep up with.

With all the changes (including the recent announced fee changes), all I can say is there are other options than greedbay – eBid being my one of choice. No listing fee’s, a very small final value fee (no FVF if you dont use a thumbnail pic in the gallery), and a good feedback system. Plus you also have the option to use google checkout, PPPay or Paypal.

I totaly agree with you on the issues concerning huge2na. It’s really sad he is such an upright person.
When you get the chance try look at the film.
So many similarities you would roar. It’s not just the flim flam it’s the cops that are on the the take and try shake down flim flam and end up getting busted trying to spend money thats counterfeit. It’s sort of like the Pay Pal police.
Gmajors, I don’t believe I ever saw that movie.
But I understand it was about a flim-flam man.
One important part of the flim-flam is that the issue of “trust” is brought up time and again, hence the term “Confidence Scam”
Who (or what) do we know whom is always bantering on about “Trust”?
As far as huge2na over there, my feelings are that pp would have been far better off simply refunding him, admit the error / wrongfulness & making a sincere apology.

Perhaps u can find your way to my blog & view “Discover the 7 Crazy Changes Going on at eBay & Learn What to Do Now” where u will hear statements like “Senior ebay management tried to spin things in their presentations and keynote speeches to make everything look positive, but it didn’t wash….It was so contrived it was embarrassing”
The bad sellers unwilling to step it up will leave, and great sellers like me willing to do what it takes will replace. Trust me, eBay is young and its just the beginning. Grow up.
This video is stupid. I am an eBay seller as well. Rather than be a bitch and whine like the rest of you, I adapt to the changes and step it up as a seller. Sure, I’ve been screwed by buyers who didn’t pay for my books, etc, but I move on! eBay gave us the ability to be self employed and quit our day jobs. Yet, you throw them to the dogs. Trust me, eBay is NOT going away.
